General Terms and Conditions for participation in events

1. General provisions

The issuer of these General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) is GALÉN - SYMPOSION s.r.o., with its registered office at Vinohradská 343/6, 120 00 Prague 2, ID: 26420929
(hereinafter referred to as the “organizer”).
These General Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between the organizer of the training event, its client and its participant.
The Client shall mean the participant or employer of the participant who asks the organizer for participation in events. The customer may be identical with the participant.
The participant means a person who personally participates in an event organized by the organizer according to these general terms and conditions.
The event is understood as a conference, congress, seminar, symposium, course, webinar etc.

2. Subject of performance

The organizer undertakes to provide and ensure the participant's participation in the event for a fee. The Client undertakes to pay the price specified in the terms and conditions of the event.

3. Registration

Ways of registering for events:
The Client shall complete and send the binding application form
o online forms,
o e-mail.
The submission of the application by the client is understood as the submission of the proposal for the conclusion of the contract and the confirmation of the application by the organizer is understood as the acceptance of the proposal for the conclusion of the contract.
To sign in:
It is possible to register for all events by the closing date for entries, unless the organizer and the client agree otherwise.
All required information (title, first name, surname, employer name and contact information (e-mail, telephone)) necessary for processing the event documentation must be stated in the application form.
By submitting the application, the participant also agrees that the organizer collects and processes the personal data provided in accordance with Act No. 101/2000 Coll., On the protection of personal data.
The application can be cancelled only in writing (e-mail is also considered a written form).
In the event of cancellation or change in the propositions of the event by the organizer, the participant shall be informed without delay by means of the contact details given in the application form.
The organizer reserves the right for serious and extraordinary reasons:
o reject the application sent before the deadline for applications due to the capacity of the event,
o cancel action,
o to change the schedule, location and time of the event and to change the staffing of the event,
The organizer shall immediately inform the participants of these facts.

4. Price and financial conditions

By sending the application pursuant to Article 3 above, the Client undertakes to pay the price for the event (hereinafter referred to as the “Fee”). The full fee is set out in the terms of the event.
The client pays the fee by wire transfer based on the payment instructions given by the organizer or in cash at the place of registration.
The fee paid before cancellation of the event due to the reason on the part of the organizer will be refunded to the customer in full.

5. Cancellation conditions

All changes of entries and possible cancellations are accepted only in writing. The customer is entitled to send another participant to the event in agreement with the organizer. Free cancellation is possible no later than the due date of the fee. After this deadline, the client is obliged to pay the organizer the full price.

6. Withdrawal from the contract

In accordance with Section 1829 (1) of the Civil Code, the Subscriber or the Customer has the right to withdraw from the contract for participation in the event within fourteen days of the conclusion of the contract. Withdrawal from the contract for participation in the event must be sent to the organizer within the period specified in the previous sentence.
Withdrawal from the contract on participation in the event can be sent by the participant or the customer to the address of the organizer. The organizer confirms to the participant or the client without undue delay in the text form acceptance of the withdrawal.
The participant and the customer acknowledge and agree that in the event of ordering participation in an event whose date of implementation is fixed by the organizer and which would start before the expiry of the 14-day withdrawal period, they are not entitled to withdraw from the contract 1 of this article. They will be informed about this fact after receiving the order from the organizer.

7. Proof of participation in the training event

After successful completion of the event, which is accredited (ČLK, ČAS and others), the participant is issued a certificate. The condition for issuing the certificate is 80% attendance at the educational event and the participant 's signature on the attendance list of the event.
Upon completion of the other events, the Participant may be issued a Confirmation of Participation upon request.

8. Organizational changes

The organizer reserves the right to change or cancel the event for operational or organizational reasons or if it is not fulfilled. The organizer reserves the right to make minor changes to the program while keeping the content of the thematic unit.

9. Final provisions

These General Terms and Conditions fully replace all previous terms and conditions.
Legal relations not regulated by these General Terms and Conditions are governed by Act No. 89/2012 Coll., The Civil Code, and other generally binding legal regulations.
These general terms and conditions can be changed and modified by the organizer at any time.
These General Terms and Conditions shall enter into force on 1 January 2020.
